Mu-Clá should be used as a simple new creative medium, were expression and experimentation are the keys. Mu-Clá can not replace the firing clays of old. These have been used since man drank his first cup of water. Mu-Clá has many of the same features found in natural clays. And none of its drawbacks.

Mu-Clay’s unique features give the professional, instructor, and student artists a beautiful new medium in which to create and express their God given talents. As teachers and artists our love for the arts must be shared and passed on to future generations for all to enjoy. It’s my desire that Mu-Clà will help to release this inner creativity into reality.

Mu-Clá was developed for Junior High school students in Chicago. My sister-in-law Susana and I needed a product which would Air-Dry. The School District was cutting back on the funding for the Art Classes, resulting in the shutting down of the kilns for the firing of Clay sculptures. Mu-Clá was the perfect answer to the problem. Mu-Clá is a great product to teach older art students sculpting. Mu-Clá is a CL certified product for children 5th grade and above. Younger children may use Mu-Clá only with careful adult supervision. Don’t let them eat it! Wash their hands with soap after using it.

Mu-Clá does not require the use of a kiln. Air-dry only although a fan or hair dryer will help speed up the drying process. You can also prolong the drying of a project by placing it an air-tight container or a plastic bag.

Dear Mr. Mu-Cla (Dale)
My son Alex, who is in First Grade at St Johns Lutheran School in Elgin, IL. came home with a project to do for the Learning Fair.
He wanted to make a Tornado for his project. We had some Mu-Cla my dad was using on his model railroad, and decided to use the Mu-Cla for his Tornado. He took newspaper and made a solid funnel, which we taped up. Alex then covered the paper funnel with Mu-Cla. He wanted to add some things in the cloud for realism, so we cut some farm animals (dads’ farm on his railroad) in half and placed them in the soft Mu-Cla. A few days later the Tornado was dry and we twisted out the paper form.

The Tornado needed to be mounted to a plywood base, so a coat hanger was used. The hanger was held to the inside of the funnel, also using Mu-Cla. We stapled the hanger to the base covered the wire with Mu-Cla and added the finishing touches (also from dads scenery supplies). As you can see we were quite impressed with the results.
