What is Mu-Clá made out of?

That’s a trade secret! Well, not really a secret, Mu-Clá has a patented formula. We use recycled news paper and safe, non-toxic glue.


Why does the world need sculpting clay?

Mu-Clá was created for art teachers who found using a kiln was no longer an option, and or a big Hassle. Mu-Clá is a safe effective Air-Dry type of medium.

How fast does it dry…will I have time to put in details before it sets up?

Mu-Clá dries slowly. Total dry time will depend on thickness but expect 12 to 24 hours or more.


How can Mu-Clá be kept from drying?

Just place your project in an air-tight container or closed plastic bag. No need for wet rags draped over project, just keep the air off, and project won’t dry.

What kind of paint can I use?

You can paint Mu-Clà with any oil, acrylic, or latex paints, with a brush, airbrush or spray paint.

Can things be added to Mu-Clà?

Yes, sprinkle on sand, stick in pebbles, or other light-weight items and the wet

Sticky surface hold them in place until dry.


Can Mu-Clà be made waterproof?

Yes by using water-proofing type paint or water-proofing spray finish, most projects will resist water. Click for details.


Do I have to mix anything?

No, Mu-Clá is ready to use straight from the container – no mixing required.


Is Mu-Clá available in colors?

No, Mu-Clá dries to a natural stone-like gray color; we’re working on other colors.
