Mu-Clá is an environmentally friendly product. It is manufactured with recycled ground newspaper and a bio-degradable paste. The combination of these materials gives Mu-Clá its Rino strength and color. No environmentally hazardous materials are used in the production of this clay. Mu-Clá uses an expensive vegetable based paste. This paste ecologically safe to our environment. Sodium Nitrate is used as preservative, giving Mu-Clá a long shelf life. The Sodium Nitrate is at a slightly higher level than what the ASTM Certification testing allows for, giving it a CL label certification. Mu-Clá is a safe product to use, just don’t let small children eat it. This cellulose is manufactured at large recycling center. They use recycled news papers. The paper is ground up and sprayed with boric acid making it fire-proof. In the grinding process other things show up, like plastic bags, staples and rubber bands. The recycling center tries to filter these out but some slip thru. These may show up as we combine and mix our product together. Even with our strict quality control program, you may find some plastic strings in Mu-Clá. No worries just pick them out or cover them up. Some small metallic pieces may get in causing brown spots too appear same thing, just pick it out or work them in. High quality standards are set by Mu-Clá Inc. in the manufacturing of this product. Although manufacturing is done by Great Lakes Clay they must follow these high standards. They take great pride in manufacturing a quality product Mu-Clá Inc. as well as their own product line.
