Artists are using Mu
Clá as an impasto for relief paintings. Sculptors are
discovering the Joy of Mu Clá Sculpting. You can revolutionize
the sculpting art world with this great new medium. It has unique
characteristics not found in any other clay or clay alternative
products. You will have a simple new medium for your creative talents
to explore.
More and more artists,
sculptors and teachers are using Mu Clá as the alternative to
firing clay. Mu Clá is the best clay alternative or medium.
Air-dry only, it is lightweight, dries very hard, and allows for
plenty of working time. Mu Clá has a very sticky quality, so
using Mu Clá with substrates or armatures is a snap. These can
be paper, wood, aluminum or Styrofoam most anything will do as
filler. Clean ups are no mess, use soap and water.
What
makes Mu-Clá the best alternative?
-
Air-dry only, use
a fan to speed up drying time.
-
Mu Clá
dries to a gray granite color giving the project a stone like finish
-
You can easily add
more layers of Mu-Clá to the project. The soft clay sticks
well to itself.
-
When the Muclay is
partially dry you can rework the project, so adding in details can
be easier.
-
Mu Clá
accepts all types of coloring and sealing materials.
Using a die grinder or
a Dremal tool is an excellent way to add in details to your dry work.
You can remove and smooth out the surface with these tools. This
works great. Slowly moving the tool across the surface the dry Mu Clá
just peels off. A faster action will shine and smooth. I use a Sears
die grinder with a course file bit. The technique I use is working
well for me. I am sure you will develop some of your own.
I have made some
relief paintings, so that the work comes off the canvas. This makes
for a beautiful three-demintial painting. Flowers are one of my
favorites. I simply make petals, stems and leaves and place them on
the board or canvas. Stenciling artists are using Mu Clá,
because they can work Mu-Clá onto walls and ceilings for an
added dimension.
Mu
Clá dries to a gray granite finish. This gives the project a
stone like finish, yet lightweight. When you want the project
painted, because of the dark color of, it may require a prime coat of
white paint. Then the finish color will be correct.
